A Visit to Swat

It was Saturday at Swat. My battalion mates and myself were convincing our C.O Sahab to go somewhere to enjoy. Our C.O Sahab, had recently been posted to Karachi and we were excited to roam in the area and visit beautiful places. Our Company decided to visit Malam Jabba, but it could not be materialized due to closure of route because of snow at the road. We then decided to go to Malakand. The plan was finalized and next morning, we started our journey to this beautiful and historical place. On the way, we saw many gardens with a lot of beautiful greenery.

The limit of Swat generally starts by crossing over Malakand Pass. At the top is a Pakistan Army fort which guards the entrance to the valley. The fort gained its name during the uprising of 1897 when a British Battalion of Sikh Infantry faced 10,000 tribal warriors. There we saw a canal when went at the TOP. This Top was also called "Lone Hill" during British time.

Though it was very cold at the top, but it we weren't getting cold because we are used to hardships! We were hungry but as we approached the site, our hungriness evaporated at once and we started exploring the new places due to its enhancing beauty.
At night we decided to go out and see the beautiful lights emanating from the houses. It was a feeling as if thousands of colorful lamps were lit at night. As it rained during the night, the next day brought pleasant surprise as several mountains had received snow fall.

Life in Swat valley is really very peaceful and colorful as the markets were swarming with people from all walks of life. As we started our journey back to our UNIT; we also saw the Thokardarra Stupa and a cave.
It never felt that this area had seen so much of unrest in the near past. This truly reflects the character of people of this valley and the sacrifices by Armed Forces Of Pakistan that brought back peace to this war torn area.

But now Swat is smiling and people are suggested to visit this peaceful area at first opportunity. And its beauty is eternal and will remain forever.
I and my battalion mate were making a plan to visit Swat.
Long Live Pakistan,
Long Live Pakistan Army!

Women in Society and Their Rights

Pakistan!
A developing country and is striving for its stability. Almost in every field of life there are countless issues of corruption and injustice. Unfortunately, Pakistan’s rating for corruption is increasing quickly.

Women of Pakistan:
Women of Pakistan are one of the most vulnerable groups that we can’t ignore and they are facing numerous problems like economic stability, security, education and health requirements. The biggest issue in this regard is Education. In two of Pakistan’s provinces, the literacy rate is only 2% to 3% and overall it is 40% for women only. The health sector is down turning. A lot of women have no access to free medical sources and guidance. They are less likely to be taken to hospitals then men during emergency. There are many of housewives which don’t have an income source, which have no right to take decisions of family. They usually suffer from violence, torture, discrimination, & brutality from their husbands. 80,539 women became the victim of violence in 2011. And the violence includes rape, murder, suicide, killing in the name of honor & torture. 13% of them were under the age of 15 years old.

Factors leading women towards Low self-esteem:
Ø Women don’t carry equal status at birth as men.
Ø Women are considered as weak & less beneficial to parents.
Ø  Women aren't given their property rights.
Ø Mostly women aren't allowed to go outside for enjoyment & leisure as the family can face honor and security threats.
Ø In providing education, parents prefer majors like Home Economics, Arts, history & Education so they could become perfect housewives.
Ø They are mostly used only for the purpose of production, which has a completely negative impact on society.
Ø Women are mostly discriminated on the basis of gender in most of the fields.
Ø Widows and divorcees are not accepted in society as respectful women unless they are rich and belong to powerful families.

Rise of Women for Their Rights:
There are a lot of things regarding women rights, but the most important point is that women should raise their voices against their victimization by emerging feminist movement for their equal rights, marriage, parenting & property rights for women. They also need to understand that what they deserve and what is given to them. They need to take charge of their lives & struggle for their independence and compatibility in all fields of life. They need to have restless motivation and commitment towards their goals and to create an undiplomatic environment for themselves where their talents, aptitudes and X-factors would groom and appreciated as a human!

No Nation Can ever be worthy of its existence that cannot take its women along with the men. No struggle can ever succeed without women participating side by side with men. There are two powers in the world; one is the sword and the other is the pen. There is a great competition and rivalry between the two. There is a third power stronger than both, that of the women”

Although his childhood was traumatic, but due to his luck and hard work Stallone found himself on Hollywood’s A-list, a position he has largely upheld over the years. He is one of the best body builders, had a workout with Arnold and Jean-Claude Van Damme.

As An Inspiration: He worked hard with great determination, and not only made his career successful but he also motivated a lot of people through his movies including me. I’m one of his biggest fans! People get inspiration of doing something adventurous, getting into hardships, learning the ways to do something different from others. He also gives the message of help, struggle, hard work and fighting for truth & humanity. He is a role model for me.

Parents Involving in Children's Learning

Understanding Between mother and child!

In children’s education participation of parents is the most important and significant motivating factor, developing the behavioral, intellectual and professional and practical skills in the young.  Continuous pressure from parents to achieve higher grades doesn't help children better their skills. Supportive parental environment works worthily which make children socially competitive with good communication skills. Parents should understand & appreciate the process of learning rather than seeking its end results. Children must be taught by their parents to draw the positives out of failures & importance of ethical values.

Staying In touch with child’s school, over-seeing their assignments helping prepare for tests & ongoing projects can do wonder! The attitude of parents must be positive and patient toward the school staff which makes parents’ involvement possible in the school. Even school shouldn't also mind the complaints of parents.
1. Consistency: Routines, daily exercises of children as well as of parents should be consistent.
2.
Extra Support: Parents rather than leaving all the curricular activities of children on school staff it is better to give them help to make their concepts clear and to share parents’ experience with the child.
3. Reading: is a good habit that any parent can pass on to the child. It is necessary to improve children’s comprehending skills which will lead them to succeed in academics.
4. Advise: Give advice to your children to tackle different situations anywhere at play area, locality or school. It may either be of sports tips, self-awareness, and safety against violence or dispute at the school or medical aid. It is important to have equilibrium between commanding and friendly behavior with the child. As an advice, parents should be friendly enough with their child so that he feels comfortable in sharing his matters with his parent.
